Genevieve is Eight Months!

Again, time is flying! Genevieve is eight months already and continues to be so much fun! She's had a lot of firsts this month including...
~ Crawling! A couple days before Genevieve turned eight months, she started really crawling and a couple days later she can crawl pretty quickly across the room!
~ Teeth! Genevieve got her first two teeth (on the bottom) at 7.5 months.
~ Sleeping...okay, we've gone backward on this one lately with all our time in hotels as well as a little sickness (see below) and teething. Genevieve has been waking up in the night at around 2:00 or 3:00, nursing and then sleeping with us and nursing again at 6:00ish then sleeping again. I am sure I can retrain her back to her 8-10 hours in a row and will do that as soon as school starts, visitors leave and we get on a more regular schedule!
~ Genevieve got her first fever this past month and we think it was the swine flu. Her cousins tested positive for it and Genevieve, Cade and Gabrielle were all sick at the same time. It wasn't bad at all, just 2-3 days of fever.
~ Standing! Nev has pulled herself up to standing position a few times in her crib and at the couch.

More on our Nev-Nev...
~Genevieve continues to love to babble and she loves to kick her legs when she's excited and in my arms.
~She is still very easy-going and loves to smile.
~ She can entertain herself for 5-10 minutes on her own on the floor with toys.
~ She is comfortable with strangers but definitely gets excited when she sees her mom and will often reach for me!
~ Genevieve is not interested in a bottle...we've tried a few times this month when Chad and I have gone out without her and she would rather just wait for the 'real thing' from me!
~ Lately, Genevieve has started to get a little distracted when she nurses if there is activity around her.
~ Still no food yet, just nursing.
~ With it being summer, Genevieve's sleep schedule is all over the place. If we are home, she will wake at around 8:00, take a 1-2 hour nap in the morning, then another 1+ hour in the afternoon, and maybe another at dinnertime, then bed at around 10:00ish.
