Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving which began with dinner at Chad's parents' house on Thursday then continued on Friday with a second Thanksgiving dinner at my Dad and Kathleen's house. Thursday I got to relax while Grandma prepared a feast. Friday, I was in charge of cooking but got lots of help from Gabrielle, my nieces, Amber and Jennifer and then, Kathleen and crew did most of the clean-up which was fabulous! My kids commented more than once that they felt sorry for people who had only one Thanksgiving :). They also said that they couldn't imagine having a small Thanksgiving which to them is anything less than 20 people. They absolutely love hanging out with their cousins at both homes. I love that they enjoy our Thanksgiving traditions.

It's hard to believe Thanksgiving has passed and Christmas is just four weeks away!

Here are most of the people at our Thursday Thanksgiving, there was a total of 23 family and friends including a few late comers.

Cindy, Grandma and Gabrielle

Me and my girl who was so helpful all weekend

Another one of Gabrielle and her Grandma

Elle looked so grown-up and tall wearing my boots!
Cade, Andrew and Willem

I am very thankful for my hubby!

Sisters!

Chad and Colin

Card playing at Chad's family get-togethers is much different than card playing at my family get-togethers. Let's just say, my family takes it a little more seriously (no babies on the card table at my family parties :)!

Nev loves playing with the toys at Grandma and Grandpa's house
Thanksgiving at my Dad and Kathleen's with 36 family and friends...

Me with my awesome helper!

Elle with her cousins and other helpers

 Even Antonia helped out :)

The girls' dinner table

The grown-ups' table

The boys' table

Kathleen and Dad

Next year there will be at least two more at Thanksgiving with Duane and Mary's baby and Marcus and Melissa's baby (both due in January)

The kids enjoyed a show on the ipad while some of the grown-ups played cards (the kids also played together a bunch)!

And, finally, a picture of Amber and Tony's adorable family!

I'll have to thank Elle and the other "cousin" helpers next time I see them!
