We had a busy day today beginning with playing soccer at cousins in the morning, Coldstone ice cream and a little swimming in the early afternoon, then soccer practice and club picnic complete with a huge water fight, and finally dinner and dessert at BJ's with Grandma & Grandpa. Cade also got a lot of phone calls from aunts and uncles and cousins. He especially loved the birthday song from his big cousins, Colin and Andrew, in Portland!

As you might have guessed, Cade continues to be a sports fanatic especially soccer which is his passion but he also enjoys and loves to learn about everything from baseball to rugby, track, football, basketball and more. Cade told me yesterday that he wished he had daily doubles (4 hours of soccer practice) every day of the summer. He wants to be a professional soccer player when he grows up. He says his Plan 'B' (gotta have Plan B!) is something in business. He wants to go to college at the University of Portland and play soccer unless Manchester United asks him to play for them first :)
Cade also loves history, geography, music and math. He loves to read, but only books on subjects he is interested in and he especially likes books that are 6th, 7th and 8th grade level (he's working on the Hobbit right now); he isn't the fastest reader but he enjoys it.
Cade is super competitive, smart and aware beyond his years yet impulsive and goofy and sensitive. He loves hanging around boys that are a year or two older than him. He does fabulous accents, has an amazing memory and can recite lines from any movie (sound familiar :). He is fun to talk to and very loving. He loves to travel and begs us to go to as many countries as we can as often as we can! He really loves his siblings, his family, his cousins...
Cade says his best friend is his cousin Pascal.
Favorite TV shows: anything soccer, any 'Top 50 anything' sports shows, Mythbusters, Cash Cab trivia show, History channel shows
