We had a rare weekend without a soccer tournament earlier
this month (just tryouts for Cade Friday and Saturday!) and decided to go to
the beach for the day on Sunday. With the temperatures near 100 degrees in
Eugene, we thought it’d be a perfect day at the beach. Well, we were wrong!
Despite a forecast of 75 and sunny, it was 58, mostly cloudy and very windy! We
still ended up having a good time together after we found a little alcove which
sheltered us from the wind. The kids got in the water for a little while and
Nev got to dig in the sand. We only lasted about an hour and half on the beach
and then headed indoors for a great pancake and omelet late lunch.

Oh man, the Oregon Coast! Still an adventure to try it out & I'm impressed that the kids tried the water. Brrrrr!!
