Cade's Likely-Last Basketball Season!

Cade played on both his middle school basketball team and an AAU tournament team this past winter. On his St. Paul team, Cade was a starter throughout the season along with Jace K., Mitchell H., Ben H. and Joey W. His St. Paul team won their league with the highlight being a win over the tough and, then undefeated, O'Hara team. St. Paul won all their games except one. Unfortunately Cade could not play in the St. Paul tournament due to a soccer tournament in Las Vegas. His basketball team made it to the finals of the St. Paul tourney but lost to O'Hara. Cade really enjoyed playing on the Marist AAU tournament team along with Jace and Mitchel from St. Paul as well as several boys from O'Hara (Dillon and Pierce), Willamette Christian and Rio from Thurston area and Chase from Central Linn. Their tournament team won a couple smaller tournaments and competed well in all the others, playing mostly in Salem, Eugene and Corvallis. It was a good final year (we think) of basketball for Cade. He scored around 6-10 points most AAU games and up to 16-18 in his St. Paul games (though usually closer to 8 or so). His main role was being an awesome rebounder and a tough defender.
